Rome OSEU, Concerto for the Unification of Italy
Participation warm for the concert held Wednesday, March 16 at the auditorium of the council in Rome. The event, organized in collaboration with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Lazio region and the municipality of Rome, has seen players on the podium as the Symphony Orchestra of a United Europe (OSEU), directed by Fabrizio Carminati, and pianist Rossana Tomassi Golkar, also artistic director of the same and spearhead the event. The evening, titled "Italy, a great love story," was a tribute to the 150th anniversary of the unit of Italy. The program, which includes pages of classics such as Nino Rota (suite from the Leopard) and Verdi (Overture from "La Forza del Destino"), as well as from contemporary "Fantasy and Variations on a Theme by Norma" for piano and orchestra conducted by Luis Bacalov from Golkar, has been introduced and closed with a moving choral participation of the public from a brand new version for piano and orchestra anthem of Italy, made by Renato Serio. The event was crowned by interesting projections in the background during the part of Bacalov and warm thanks from the undersecretary Gianni Letta in the house.
