Song From Next Friday I Smoke

Ostia, Beethoven, duo Braconi - Andriotto

Friday, March 18, at the beautiful Sala Riario situated in the small and ancient town of Ostia Antica, which was held the first concert of the season made by the cultural society "Friends of Ostia Classic." Here are two words for this group of people, almost 200 members, which in a completely autonomous self-financing to achieve in an area that was completely lacking, a variety of concerts and cultural fabric that create music for the social the territory itself, as well as for personal pleasure. A project really modern and comprehensive, this fortunately also in other small to medium (as with a similar mechanism, the Concerts Company A. Buzzolla Adria, for example), which sees an accountability of some individuals on a community, a powerful tool to promote social and cultural growth.
This first show has already started with an extremely ambitious project: the complete performance of the 5 + 1 for cello and piano sonatas of Beethoven, which in this first concert they have performed the first three or the two sonatas op. 5 and Op .69, by the duo Paul and Andriotto Monaldo Braconi.
The formula provided, always to remain a thoroughly modern optics and chamber music at the same time in the original sense of the term, an introduction by with suggestions and anecdotes of the musicians on the tracks (as well as other great artists on the international scene, such as Uto Ughi, Mario Brunello do for years, for example). The beauty of the room, the passion of the performers, and the impeccable organization led to the success del'evento, crowned with a full house seating and roaring applause several times with the artists.
Next meeting planned, including the second part of implementation of complete sonatas of Beethoven for cello and piano, in a matinee on April 10.
Special thanks to Enrico Bruno, author of the photos here, and the association Arcangelo Corelli Ostia lifeblood for the growth of musical culture on site.
